UMTR Trail Series: Through Chippewa and 7@7

Three down….fourteen races to go!

We have some great competition shaping up in all the classes with a huge increase in total participation in each race from last year. This year, after 3 races, we’ve seen 63 total participants compared to 18 at this time in 2013.

Currently we have 97 members participating in the series with a strong contingent of runners looking forward to this weekend’s Spring Superior Races at both the 25k and 50k distances. Look/listen for photo ops with the UMTR banner during check-in and just prior to the races.

Overall leaders include Ethan Richards in the male division and Christi Nowak in the female division. We also have five individuals who have run all three races so far… Nora Compton, Janet Gray, John Eiden, Ethan Richards, and Rick Stevens (2013 Shoot the Moon finisher).

Let us know if we’ve missed anything by e-mailing through the UMTR website Contact Us page (not through FB) – and also make sure to volunteer for your bonus points at any UMTR race or our upcoming Trail Maintenance Project at Jay Cooke State Park on May 31st. Volunteering gives back to the race community and is a great way to have fun supporting your fellow runners.

UMTR Trail Series results can be found on the UMTR Trail Series Page.
