UMTR cares about trails and maintaining the natural places we love to run. We share opportunities to assist with trail work, and as an organization we give over 70% of our funds to trail and park organizations around the region. To better articulate our viewpoint, we have adopted the following position statement on Trail Advocacy. In this statement, we share how we seek to promote and protect the resources that mean everything to our sport.
UMTR is a non-partisan group; however, we feel it is necessary to express how important it is to our sport that trails and natural areas are maintained for future generations of trail runners.
