The results are in from the Chippewa 50K, and things are heating up already!
Christi Nowak tied the Open standings up, matching Leslie Semler’s early lead with her own victory in the women’s race. Kathy Jambor doubled back from the Zumbro 100 to open up a bigger lead in the Masters, and grab the Overall lead as well. Will she keep up the frequent racing? Early in the year yet…
For the men, Corey Jurowski finished 7th in the Zumbro 50 mile, that combined with his finish at Chippewa makes him the leader in both the Open and Overall divisions currently! There is a tie in the Masters, between Mike Barton and Kevin Montroy. Peter Schnorbach holds a slim lead in the Grandmasters thanks to a volunteer effort on top of his Chippewa finish.
Great participation in the series so far, and we look forward to watching the standings develop. Good luck to those of you headed to Ice Age for the 50K/50M this weekend. Looks to be another great weekend of racing!
