We’ve made it through another two races in the 2016 Ultra Series. Ice Age 50K/50M were great early season races down in southern Wisconsin, and Spring Superior was an absolute hit for trail conditions, though I hear the weather could have been cooler.
It’s early in the year, but there have been some outstanding efforts already. Janet Gray, Andrew Kuncel, and Mark Martinesen are well on their way to the Legs-of-Iron bonus with three finishes in the bag! Michael Borst went sub 4:00 on the Spring Superior course, and that’s no easy feat…
I’m looking forward to tracking this year, as it looks like many of the divisions are going to be wide open!
Coming up this weekend is the doubleheader, with both Kettle Moraine and Chester Woods on tap. Good luck if you’ll be spinning your wheels at either venue.
