It’s the season for snowshoes, spikes, and beardsicle pictures. It’s also the time of year when we start dropping cash on our 2018 races! As you’re making your plans, we’re excited to announce the 2018 Trail, Ultra, and Gnarly Bandit series races.
While the Gnarly Bandit series hasn’t changed much, we’ve added a few races to the Trail Series and Ultra Series (We’ve heard you loud and clear Wisconsin!). Some of the race dates have yet to be officially published, but we’ll update the series listings as we hear from the race directors.

| NEW in 2018: The Flight! The Flight is a grouping of 5 races, ranging in distance from 5K to 10 miles. This tasty sampling of shorter races is an opportunity for runners to experience the trails, try something different, or find a race off the beaten path. Whether you're new to the trails or someone who enjoys being done with your race in time for lunch, the Flight is a great option! The Flight will be designated by the UMTR Board each year and may change from year to year, to highlight all the different things our region has to offer. The races selected for 2018 are highlighted in yellow on the table above. Trail Run Series participants who complete all five Flight races will be recognized at the annual banquet and presented with a token celebrating their achievement. |
