It’s an All-Purpose Update!

Hey members! It’s time for an all-purpose update!

First, we’ve got an SHT FatAss coming up! Paul Wilken is graciously assembling a Not-Quite-50K FatAss next Saturday, August 12th. This run will be starting at Enger Tower in Duluth and running the Wild Duluth route down to Chambers Grove Park. For more information or to join the event, head here:

On the distant horizon, save the date for our next Duluth FatAss, to be held September 23rd. Info for this run will be posted as it becomes available here:

Speaking of Duluth, the UMTR Scene has been all-Duluth, all-the-time over the past few weeks! The Eugene Curnow Marathon took place on July 15th, while the 2017 edition of the Voyageur 50-Mile occurred last Saturday. Updates for the Trail Run Series and Ultra Series will be forthcoming.

UMTR was pleased to again sponsor an aid station at Voyageur, holding down the fort at Becks Road. It was awesome to see so many members volunteering and supporting our racers! We’re truly a community that cares for one another, and we show it by giving back time and time again.

If you participated in the Eugene Curnow Marathon and still need to submit your results, please double-check your emails for one of the past self-submission forms we’ve sent out. (Reminder: The Ultra Series standings are curated and no results need to be submitted. Only the Trail Run Series is self-submitted, due to number of participants.)

If you volunteered at any of these races, please be sure to let us know! Your hours can be submitted here:

As always, THANK YOU for everything you do! Our group – and our races, and our trails – wouldn’t be what they are without communities like these. It’s an honor to run with you!
