Hope that this series update finds you well and enjoying the cooler weather.
We’ve had another couple of races go in the books in August. First was the heat of Marquette, where Janet Gray had a nice finish in the 50K, Jake Hegge turned in another fast time there as well, and Rob Henderson continued his habit of running everything with a 100k finish. At Lean Horse, Janet Hausken had great 50 mile finish under 9 hours! Mark Martinesen also had a great 50 on the Deadwood-Mickelson trail, while Jordan Schmidt and Allan Holtz went all in on the 100 and finished well.
Having eyed up the start list for Superior, it seems like I’ll see a lot of you out on the trail! I know that I’m enjoying the prospective forecast for the Superior races this weekend. Time for the granddaddy of them all! (To borrow a line from the Rose Bowl). Good luck to everyone, and be prepared for mud as there has been a good amount of rain in the Arrowhead recently.
